If you go down to the beach today....

Head down Swinestead Lane to the beach at Baycliff
You may get stuck in traffic...
... but not for long.

You won't find a Teddy Bear's picnic...


... but you will find some organic artwork by visiting artist Martin Brockman.

Take a walk out onto the sands of Morecambe Bay and marvel at the wide open space you have all to yourself.



 Well, you might have to share it with a few seabirds...
 ... or the odd Fox Moth caterpillar.

A tranquil late summer evening

A late evening stroll in September 2012

The evening tide retreats near Rampside, Heysham Power Station in the distance

Butterflies and bees stock up on late summer nectar from sedum flowers

Tortoiseshell and Red Admiral butterflies
Having a paddle on horseback


Coast Road
The corn is as high as an elephant's eye


 Maize fields ripen into gold, while clouds build up above the Lake District hills.

 
One last look out into Morecambe Bay before heading home
